It has been extremely cold as there has not been any heat in the house. The good news is that windows will help keep the temperature regulated once electricity is restored. Plumbing is installed throughout. Electrical is on its way.
Windows
The new windows have been installed. This is great news to the new home owners. Now all of the windows in the house have been updated and will be much more efficient. They also look a lot cleaner and overall, nicer. The original windows that were intact throughout the main level did their job for over 100 years. There are times when it is nice to keep the old charm and character of a house but buyers in today’s market tell us that windows are not worth keeping for the historical factor. The new windows will help save on energy costs and provide a more comfortable home.
Plumbing
The climate is upgraded along with nearly all of the plumbing. This includes everything that is soon to be behind walls. Plumbing is rerouted to make an optimum layout and create the best functionality. Some areas that require the newly routed plumbing are the brand new bathrooms, laundry and kitchen. The brand new and enlarged master bath has all of its hookups for the big shower with multiple shower heads. It also has the new plumbing for the stand alone tub that is now in place. The new owners will not have to go far from the bathroom to do their laundry. There are now hookups in the master closet for a washer and dryer. The kitchen required a lot of work as well. There is now a place for our sink in the island. Some other features are the pot filler and second dishwasher!
Electrical
Electrical is the last thing to be completed before we are able to get walls back up and start putting our finishes in. After that, the house will begin to come back together. Buyers will soon be able to appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into this house.
